The Open Is Upon Us!

Hey all… the Open is here! A bunch of us are already signed up (if you are make sure you join the OSA gym and OSA team).

To sign up go here:

Anyone with any questions about the open and signing up ask a coach.

The Open is an exciting time of year. It provides us with a way to measure our progress, both against ourselves from previous years and against others (those of the same gender, age, skill level, and from our region or other parts of the world). Remember its about pushing yourself to the limit AND having FUN! Some of us get too caught up in checking the leader board every second, focusing only on yourself and not the other OSAers, and lose sight of why we’re doing it in the first place.

Definitely set goals, definitely get a little fired up if you don’t reach them, but always stay happy. Be realistic with yourself, know what your current level is, and also how much work you put in. If you don’t put in the work then don’t expect a huge outcome!

All coaches are more then willing to offer extra work/assistance to those who really want to do well in the open (Coach G eventually wants to train people specifically for it!). So don’t hesitate to ask for help or ask a question!

We’re excited to test ourselves and see the progress we’ve made this past year. We’re also excited to get some of you to set the a mark to try and beat next year. This is a great way to find weaknesses and help set goals for the coming year. For most working out without a goal isn’t sustainable! Figure out your “why” so we can get you there!

We’re debating making Open Athlete shirts is we get enough people interested. Let us know!
